Experimental Work
A page filled with my earlier work, larger pieces made without using precious metals.
These pieces are from previous projects I have worked on.
'What is Jewellery'
A project thinking about 'what classifies as jewellery'. For this I created a head piece to separate it from pieces of jewellery we wear day to day. This was inspired by images that for me relate to 'home'.
'The Body'
Vases inspired by the body. Looking at external parts of the body along with internal. The shapes and colours were inspired by the shapes and colours seen on social media, and how people portray themselves.
'Underwater'
Piece inspired by runway jewellery, showing different parts underwater. the green section is inspired by shallow water and the deep blue being deeper. There is more going on in the green section because it is easier to see in shallower waters.
'Parures'
Creating a set of jewellery, after looking at nature, I focused on water and the different forms it can be presented as, along with the noises and sound waves water can create.
'Chains'
Piece inspired by chains, looking at commercial chains and adding it onto a necklace inspired by the shape of a train track, with trains being a long chain.
'Antarctica'
Piece made to show the theme of Antarctica. The pattern showing the map and the sound waves of ice. The Shapes inspired by icecaps and the shape of the world.
